Our Story
It started with a boy and a mountain.
In 1967, a 16-year-old named Wang Congzhou walked up into the Daba Mountains with nothing but a pair of hands and a willingness to work. He had just finished middle school. He planted his first tea seedlings in Jinshan Village, at 850 meters above sea level, where the clouds never really leave and the soil is naturally rich in selenium and zinc.
He didn't know it then. But those seedlings would outlast him — and one day reach the other side of the world.
Three generations. One mountain.
His sons carried on what he started. They didn't just inherit the garden — they improved it. The second generation refined the planting techniques and processing methods, turning a family plot into a serious operation. In 2009, the family formally established Tongjiang Wenfeng Jinshan Tea Co., Ltd., rooted in Jinshan Village, where the whole community grows alongside the tea. Today, the garden spans over 1,500 mu and has helped lift the entire village.
The mountain does its part. The Daba Mountains are one of China's most pristine tea-growing regions — clean air, mineral-rich soil, and a mist that lingers through the morning and never quite disappears. Local wisdom says the best tea grows where the clouds stay low. We've seen nothing to prove that wrong.
The third generation.
I'm Wang Yaoqian. In 2023, I left home to study business abroad. I spent those months learning about global markets, consumer behavior, and brand building — but I kept thinking about home. About the mountain. About what my grandfather started at 16 with nothing but determination and a pair of hands.
I came back at the end of 2024 with one goal: to take what three generations built and share it with the world. Not through middlemen. Not through compromises. Directly — from our garden to your cup.
Why Tea Clouds?
We named this brand for two reasons. First, our garden is almost always wrapped in mist — and as any tea farmer will tell you, clouds make great tea. Second, we wanted to send that tea from the clouds to every corner of the world. From our mountain to your cup, wherever you are.
What we believe.
Every tea we grow has its own story. Jinshan Red Gold, picked before Qingming in a ten-day window, 30,000 fresh buds to make 500 grams of finished tea. Jinshan Sunshine, the season's first and finest green tea, harvested when the mountain is still cold and the buds are at their most concentrated. Each one is different. Each one is complete on its own.
We also believe that great tea should be easy to enjoy. Every tea we sell — except our loose-leaf office pack — comes in individually pre-portioned sachets. The right amount, every time. No scale, no guesswork. Just open one sachet, add water, and brew.
In 2025, we earned EU Organic Certification — a confirmation of what our family has always believed: no shortcuts, no compromises, just tea the way it was meant to be grown.
The world can wait. Our tea is ready.
