Jinshan First Light is a single-bud green tea harvested at the peak of that fleeting moment — when the temperature, the moisture, and the mountain air align just right. At 850 meters elevation in the Daba Mountains of Sichuan, our pickers move through the rows by hand, selecting only the most tightly formed buds. It takes more than 30,000 hand-picked buds to produce just 500 grams of finished tea. Each one is flat-pressed and pan-fired with care, producing a leaf that is smooth, straight, and a deep, vivid jade-green — the colour of the mountain itself in early spring.
In the cup, the liquor pours a clear, luminous yellow-green. The aroma is rich and layered: roasted chestnut and pan-fired grain rise first, warm and familiar, followed by a clean freshness that opens as the cup cools. The taste is full and round, with a pronounced natural sweetness that builds slowly after each sip — the kind of sweetness that stays with you. No bitterness. No astringency. How to Brew
Use one 4g sachet per 150ml of water at 80–85°C (176–185°F).
First rinse: 3–5 seconds. Second infusion: 20–30 seconds.
Add 10–15 seconds for each subsequent steep. Yields 4–6 steeps per sachet.
Best enjoyed in a glass cup — so you can watch the jade-green leaves slowly open in the water.
Storage
Green tea is sensitive to heat, light, and odour. Store sealed in the refrigerator. Once opened, consume within 3 months for best flavour. Keep away from strong odours.
